Dr. Hannafin is a Licensed Professional Counselor, with Masters and Doctorate degrees in Counseling Psychology. She is not “In Network” with any insurance company.
Dr. Hannafin's credentials include: Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania; and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida
Many insurance companies, such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Aetna, do accept her credentials, as an Out of Network Provider.
It is always suggested to telephone your insurance company, or check the information on your specific policy. Please note if you have Mental Health benefits. If so, please check:
- How many sessions you may have in a calendar year?
- Do they reimburse for the services of a Licensed Professional Counselor?
- Is there a deductible amount that must be met, prior to reimbursement?
- What is the percentage of reimbursement?
- How soon, after receipts are submitted, might you expect reimbursement?
The insurance company requires that one has a mental health diagnosis for reimbursement benefits. They generally do NOT cover relationship counseling.
They do not cover Career Counseling.
Magellan is a company (that many various insurance companies use) whose purpose is to screen mental health benefits and providers. Frequently, policy holders are referred to Magellan regarding mental health authorizations.
Please consult your Insurance company to see if they accept Dr. Hannafin’s credentials. If desired, you will receive a receipt that indicates Dr. Hannafin’s NPI (National Provider’s License), EIN (Tax ID), and Professional License Number. A diagnosis code must be included, for insurance to reimburse you. Dr. Hannafin does not directly accept insurance.
Payment is made, in full, as services are rendered. Dr. Hannafin provides a receipt, which a patient can submit to insurance, with all the necessary information.
