About Dr. Hannafin
Christine Hannafin, Ph.D. began her professional career as an Elementary, and Special Education Teacher, and holds Permanent Certification. She taught in Philadelphia; and for both the Delaware County and Chester County, PA Intermediate Units, working with physically handicapped children.
As she raised her family, she had a strong interest in Psychology, and pursued further studies, attaining her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology.
She has over 30 years experience offering Individual, Relationship, and Career Counseling. Throughout this time, she has had a Private Practice, and additionally, for ten years, also worked part time in a Partial Hospital (a day hospital for mentally ill adults and senior citizens).
Her credentials include being a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Diplomate of the American Psychotherapy Association, Certified Relationship Counselor, Certified Grief Counselor, and Certified in the MBTI, Myers Briggs Type Indicator.
She has taught various Psychology classes as an Adjunct Professor, on the Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral levels, at Delaware County Community College, and Immaculata University.
Desiring to help people overcome life, mental, and physical challenges in a holistic manner, she has pursued many years of additional study, and incorporates Integrative Strategies into her practice. These methods help to achieve accelerated and thorough results, for mental, physical, and life wellness.
Dr. Hannafin is Certified in NET, Neuro Emotional Technique, has taken the Advanced Training offered by NMT, Neuro Modulation Technique. She has completed Level 2 of EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, as well as a three year Certificate program in Psychosynthesis. She has studied Biofeedback, and EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique, Psych-K, and is a Certified Toastmaster.
